Data Collection

1. Purpose

This Data Collection Policy outlines how LemonSalt (Pty) Ltd ("the Company") collects, stores, and destroys personal information of its clients.

2. Collection of Data

The Company collects personal data through the Client Enquiry Form. This information is necessary for the administration of the enquiry and/or engagement and includes, but is not limited to, personal identification information, contact details, company information and engagement history.

3. Storage of Data

The collected information will be securely stored in the Company's database for the duration of the engagement. The Company takes appropriate measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or destruction.

4. Retention of Data

In the event that the engagement is terminated, the Company will retain the client's information for a period of 3 months. After this period, the information will be securely destroyed and removed from the database.

5. Access to Data

Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only. The Company ensures that any personnel who have access to personal data are properly trained in handling and safeguarding such information.

6. Data Destruction

Upon expiration of the 3-month retention period following the termination of the engagement, the client’s personal information will be permanently destroyed using secure methods to ensure that it cannot be reconstructed or retrieved.

7. Rights of Clients

Clients have the right to access their personal data, request corrections, and object to the processing of their information. Any such requests should be directed to the Company's Information Management Department.

8. Changes to Policy

The Company reserves the right to amend this Data Collection Policy at any time. Clients will be notified of any changes to this policy in a timely manner.
